The classic winches have one gear (not 28 STU) and can be operated as either bottom action winch (model 91 and 101) or as an under deck version with various shaft lengths (model 102, 12 STU and 28 STU).

A characteristic of the classic one speed winch is that the handle can be pumped. In this type of winches the handles are included in the price (not 28 STU). All handles can be purchased separately.

The latest addition to these classic winches is a range of under deck self tailing winches particularly suitable for yachts with open cockpits. 12 STU is single speed with a ratchet gear and a fixed handle included in the price. The 28 STU is two speed and is driven by a standard winch handle which is NOT included in the price.
