Model: MANTA II Battery Isolator
MANTA II ELECTRONIC Battery Isolator Advantages Most battery isolators available today operate with diodes. These isolators will typically have voltage drops in the 1.5 V range between the alternator and the batteries. The result is longer charging times and batteries that never reach a fully charged state due to this voltage drop. Electronic battery isolators reduce this voltage drop to only a few mV, allowing more of the alternator output to go directly to the batteries, reducing the charging time and enabling the batteries to be charged up to full capacity.
- MANTA II battery isolators are easy to connect and automatically select either 12 VDC or 24 VDC.
- MANTA II charges and isolates 2 or 3 batteries (depending on the model) using only one alternator. In addition to giving an equal charge to different batteries, the charge will not pass from one battery to another. This means that it is possible to discharge one battery completely, for diverse reasons, without discharging the motor battery.
- MANTA II can be used with alternators supplying up to 70, 100, 130 or 150 Amps (depending on the model).
- MANTA II has a very low voltage drop which reduces charging time, increases the efficiency of the charging circuit and means that there is no need to modify the alternator regulator.
- MANTA II draws down very little from the batteries.
- MANTA II needs no adjustment.
